Sukhdeep & Aman

Sukhdeep & Aman

When it came to Sukhdeep & Aman the key words we were instructed to remember when assisting with the wedding planning and organizing was Lavish, Extravagant and a fun family affair.  They wanted something that no one had ever seen before – going from the most traditional pre functions, religious ceremony in a Sikh Temple to a modern reception to end the week.

We truly had our work cut out for us as finding the perfect vendors was going to be a difficult task.  We needed vendors who could pull together and provide the vision the clients (and the family) was looking for.  When it came to the home (Backyard Event) Maiiyan Pre Event – we were able to have the decorators create a true masterpiece when it came to a traditional Indian event.  Everything from the flooring, lighting, tents, draping, food, Indian traditions were done to perfection. In the end the hours of hard work – truly paid off. The family was absolutely thrilled with the outcome and the guests were floored with the details of the event.

The next large event for this family was the actual Reception Event.  This was 300 of their closest family and friends – they wanted to ensure that it was completely different then their pre – wedding event and provide a sense of pure luxury and style when it came to first impressions.  Lighting was the first issue that was going to be an issue for us.

We knew very quickly we had to do something about the windows – the client wanted to have uplighting all over the venue however daylight was going to be an issue.  We got the decorator to cover every window with a fabric that would prevent any light from coming in – this was a huge task as tons of pipes and draping had to be brought in to ensure every nook and cranny was covered.  At the end once everything was done the lighting was perfect and you could not tell that the sun was shining bright outside – it was truly a success.

The guests truly enjoyed an amazing cocktail hour with everything from lamb popsicles to Indian traditional fried foods.  To give a truly amazing atmosphere we had hanging ferries performing acrobatics to amazing music as guests walked around the outdoor patio.  Everyone was enjoying each others company, great food and an atmosphere that was truly different the the previous event.

It took over a year to plan every aspect of this wedding week, hundreds of hours, family meetings and the perfect vendors to pull everything off.  We ensured we stayed on time with everything in terms of planning and booking everything we require. We truly wanted to ensure that everything stayed true to each event and every detail was thought of.  On the day of the events it was very important to make sure that we stayed on time with the timeline as well as ensured we were able to do everything in our timeline and make sure we stayed on time.

Truly a magical experience with a wonderful family!
